Use your AI to get the most out of Kissmetrics.

Install the tracking with one command or with Claude Code, then ask about your data in plain English. Live in about 5 minutes.

$ npx @kissmetrics/install --api-key YOUR_KEY

The installer is on npm as @kissmetrics/install. Your key comes with your free workspace.

No card required. Free plan. No developer needed for your website.

Install it with your AI, with one command.

No tag manager, no tracking plan to write first. Works on Next.js, React, WordPress, Shopify themes, Rails, Django and most other stacks.

  1. Start free and copy your key

    Your product key is on the setup screen right after you sign up. No card.

  2. Run one command

    In your project, the installer finds your framework, shows you the change and asks before it writes the snippet. Or let Claude Code do it: add the installer skill, then ask it to "Install Kissmetrics in this project". It opens a branch for you to review.

  3. Let your AI add your key events

    With the installer skill, Claude Code can add the events that matter, like Signed Up and Purchased, on the same review branch. Nothing ships until you merge it.

With npm

$ npx @kissmetrics/install --api-key YOUR_KEY

Or with Claude Code (the installer skill)

$ mkdir -p .claude/skills/km-installer
curl -sL https://raw.githubusercontent.com/kissmetrics/km-installer/main/skills/SKILL.md \
  -o .claude/skills/km-installer/SKILL.md

Install Kissmetrics in this project

Ask in plain words. Get the real report.

The answer comes from the same report you would open yourself, on data tied to real people, so the numbers hold up when you check them.

386 of 606 people who upgraded had a campaign touch first; the rest came from organic search or direct. Per reached is lifetime revenue per person reached, payers or not.

Sample data. The Performance report is included in Growth, $99 a month. Funnels and Activity stay free.

You approve what it can do.

Your agent asks for access, and you see every permission in plain words before you approve it. One product, temporary, revocable.

Authorize agent access
Review what you're allowing before you approve.

Claude is asking for access to the product you pick below. It wants to:

  • Ask questions of your data: ask analytical questions in chat and read the answers, exactly as you could.
  • Run reports: run your saved reports and queries and read their results.
  • List reports and metrics: see the names and definitions of your saved reports, metrics and populations.
  • Draft metrics and reports: create and edit metrics and reports as drafts for your review, nothing goes live without you.
  • Set up tracking: read this product's install key and save proposed event/property mappings (which you still review before they go live).

It can't do anything outside this list, can't touch any other product, and you can revoke it any time from your account settings.

Access is temporary (about 30 minutes), limited to the product above, and revocable from your account settings. The assistant never sees your password.

In your inbox, on your schedule.

Your agent saves the report. You turn on the email: daily, weekly on the day you pick, or monthly, for the last 7 days by default, to up to 10 people. The email carries the report's table; open the report for revenue.

Precise answers start with precise data.

One record per person

Every visit, signup and payment sits on the person who did it, across devices. Your agent reads customers, not sessions.

Clean from day one

Ready-made schema examples set out which events and properties to track, so nothing is missed.

Drafts, never surprises

Your agent can draft metrics and reports. Nothing goes live until you review it, and tracking changes wait for your approval too.

Access you control

You approve each permission, for one product. Access is temporary and you can revoke it any time from your account settings.

Before you connect your agent.

How do I install it?

Start free, copy your product key, then run npx @kissmetrics/install --api-key YOUR_KEY in your project. Or add the km-installer skill to Claude Code and ask it to install Kissmetrics: it finds your framework and opens a branch for you to review.

Which agents can I use?

Claude, Cursor, or your own agent. You start the connection from the agent, then approve it in Kissmetrics on the "Authorize agent access" screen.

Can my agent change my reports or my tracking?

Only as drafts. It can draft metrics and reports and propose tracking mappings, and nothing goes live until you review it. It cannot do anything outside the permissions you approved.

How do the scheduled emails work?

Your agent saves the report, you turn on the email from the report: daily, weekly on the day you pick, or monthly, for the last 7 days by default, to up to 10 people.

Does the agent see my password?

No. You approve access in Kissmetrics, for one product, and it is temporary and revocable from your account settings.

What does it cost?

Asking in plain English, dashboards and the Funnels and Activity reports are free, with 2 scheduled reports. The Performance report and the other Growth reports are included in Growth, $99 a month. See pricing
